For the history of the Grunwald brand, 2020 was a time of growth and international expansion of the brand – moving forward across land and sea borders. Large-scale efforts have brought practical results – only in the spring the first contract for the supply of semitrailers for carriers on the African continent was signed, and by the end of the year, the Grunwald semitrailers are already working in the Republic of Ghana, West African Benin and Senegal, Togolese Republic and the Republic of Cape Verde, located on the Cape Verde Islands in the Atlantic ocean.
The new contract, signed in the Autumn, involves the delivery of a batch of 4-axle tipper semitrailers. This model is best suited to the task of transporting a large volume of material per unit of time and is able to meet the needs of the most demanding customers and drivers. Semitrailers are equipped with large-volume bodies of high rigidity and a reliable chassis for working in conditions of a worn or poorly developed road network.
The volume of the tipper body is 38 cubic meters. The body walls have a thickness of 6 mm, the base of the body - 8 mm. The axle unit of the semitrailer consists of 4 BPW axles of reinforced HD design with a load capacity of 9,000 kg each. The front axle is equipped with a lifting mechanism. The package includes increased load capacity Michelin HD XZE tires. The permissible gross weight of the semitrailer is 51 tons.
