Renault K 8x4 with Grunwald tipper superstructure

Solutions for transportation of bulk materials remain in the focus of attention of Grunwald engineers. The first steps have been taken in cooperation with another well – known European OEM manufacturer — the Renault Company. The first collective product is ready for demonstration — Renault K 440 P8x4 HEAVY tipper truck for the construction segment with box-type superstructure from the Grunwald Company.

Professionals of the construction transportation continues to select equipment with a single, but a strict condition — only reliable, cost effective vehicles, able to operate more efficiently than their counterparts. Therefore, the activity of engineers to improve technical solutions never stops. A feature of the current version of the superstructure is the inclined rear side. Due to this chassis configuration, this solution allowed to develop optimal distribution of weight loads. In the rest the body retains all proven design solutions and uses the best properties of materials.

The side walls of the body are made as a single-formed parts and are made of wear-resistant steel Hardox 450 manufactured by SSAB (Sweden). The 8 mm thick body bottom is also made of Hardox 450 steel. The set includes an effective heating system with exhaust gases, parts and components of which are made of stainless steel. The vehicle is already has been tested and will soon be delivered to the client, who already has more than 40 Renault trucks.

The Grunwald Design department plans in the nearest future to develop the option of a sliding roof mechanism, which will reduce the time of tenting by five times.
