Description

The Gr.C-S3-40 container chassis model was created with the idea of continuous improvement of efficiency which is the key parameter for container transportation industry. This is a specialized transport solution considering peculiarities of the cargoes and the nature of container chassis operation. 

The Gr.C-S3-40 model combines minimum curb weight with measured technical solutions which can provide the required reliability and strength. 

Design strengths

A principle of combination of maximum efficient carrying capacity and minimum possible curb weight lies at the basis of the Gr.C-S3-40 model structure. The frame structure made of high strength S700 MC steel is optimized to reliably withstand dynamic loads characteristic of container transportation. During assembly, the frame side members are welded at both sides. The semitrailer is equipped with light aluminum receivers, rear aluminum bumper, and latest lighting fixtures.

The Gr.C-S3-40 container transport vehicle model will be perfectly suitable for intermodal transportation where the best process optimization is ensured by lower cost at maximum useful load.

Braking system and Optilink monitoring system

Disk-type braking mechanisms – for precise response at braking and for
maintenance comfort. At the request of the customer, drum brakes are installed.
The braking system comes complete with ABS/EBS modulator.

Axle system and suspension

The semitrailer is equipped with three SAF IntraDisk Custom Design axles long appreciated in long range transportation or with the JOST axles which is one of the lightest and most high-tech products on the market. Disk-type braking mechanisms. The first axle is equipped with a lifting mechanism and controlled in automatic mode. Pneumatic suspension includes light aluminum receivers.

Reliable components

All the attachable components are supplied directly from the leading European and Russian manufacturers. The semitrailer is equipped with light aluminum receivers, reliable fitting locks, rear aluminum bumper, and LED lighting fixtures.

At the request of the customer, the semitrailer delivery package may be upgraded to include the following additional options:

  • SAF or JOST axle system at choice;

  • Drum brakes;

  • Basket for spare wheel with a mounting bracket;

  • Spare wheel;

  • Special color design of the semitrailer. Painting in any RAL color

Certification

Grunwald’s semitrailers are certified in accordance with the latest certification rules published by the Federal Technical Regulation and Metrology Agency of the Russian Federation (Rosstandart) and conform to the requirements of the Technical Regulations of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).

Warranty

The warranty period for the semitrailer structure shall be the lesser of 12 months from the time of initial registration or 24 months from the time of manufacture, as recorded in the Manufacturer’s Certificate of Origin.

Applicable warranty and
servicing obligations shall be fulfilled by a specialized Grunwald service
center in Moscow (Sheremetyevo) or by any service station which is
a member of Grunwald’s authorized service network.
